Despite a number of contradictory messages arriving from France regarding the future of Mauricio Pochettino, journalist Fabrizio Romano has assured that the Argentine coach will not be leaving PSG
Providing no last-minute surprises, PSG will continue to have Mauricio Pochettino at the helm next season, in a team that look to get back to fighting for everything in France as well as the illusive Champions League crown.
For the last few weeks, contradictory messages have been arriving from France, as the country’s press expressed serious doubt over the future of the Argentine due to his poor relationship with sporting director Leonardo
However, journalist Fabrizio Romano has learnt that Pochettino will not be leaving PSG this summer, and will stay on at the helm of the Parc des Princes.
In addition, reports state that Pochettino was one of the most important components in signing Liverpool’s Georginio Wijnaldum, whose deal is close to completion.
The French side offered the player a much better contract offer than Barcelona and it is reported that Wijnaldum will sign until 30th June 2024. In fact, it was supposedly Pochettino himself who called Wijnaldum to make the offer.
