Derby County’s David Marshall will miss Scotland’s Euro 2020 warm-up match against Holland in Portugal tonight as a precaution following team-mate John Fleck’s positive Covid-19 test.
Sheffield United midfielder Fleck tested positive for the virus on Tuesday and, as a precaution, Scotland boss Steve Clarke has kept Fleck and six others – including Marshall – at the Scot’s Spanish training base in Alicante.
Rams keeper Marshall will miss the friendly alongside John McGinn, Stephen O’Donnell, Nathan Patterson, Grant Hanley and Che Adams.
It must be stressed all six players have provided negative Covid tests, but boss Clarke is taking no chances with the tournament due to start in just a few days.
