Piers Morgan, 56, Posted A Selfie Playing Golf With BBC Breakfast Presenter Dan Walker

Piers Morgan, 56, posted a selfie playing golf with BBC breakfast presenter Dan Walker despite years of opposition, leaving fans very confused.

The former Good Morning Britain presenter posted the picture on social media with the caption: “Planning our new show… ‘Good Morning BBC Breakfast Britain’,” adding the hashtag “Dream Team”.

Dan replied to Piers’s tweet writing, “If you pass your medical it could happen.”

Although smiling and joking, the pair have butted heads for years.

Most recently, Piers told Dan to “stop blubbering” after his co-host, Louise Minchin, announced her decision to leave the BBC after 20 years working there.

Piers tweeted: “Stop blubbering Dan – I start Monday. The BBC wanted the guy who beat you in ratings, and the first same-sex male breakfast presenting team to appease the wokies.”

Earlier this year Dan mocked Piers for storming off and quitting Good Morning Britain in March after he was slated by co-star Alex Beresford for his comments about Meghan Markle.

Dan pretended to storm out over a BBC weather report in mock imitation of Piers’s exit.

However, Piers was quick to retaliate: “I’m surprised BBC bosses didn’t storm in and drag you off set after yesterday’s ratings came in.”

Despite their rowing, the pair were all smiles after bumping into each other on the fairway at Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey.

This led to many fans’ confusion.

One user replied to Piers tweeting: “You’ve done nothing but lambast Dan for months, why would he even give you the time of day?”

Another tweeted: “Thought you two hated each other,” and one fan said: “OMG a picture I thought I’d never see.”

Despite the confusion, many were happy to see the union, including TV presenter Vernon Kay.

Vernon replied to Piers writing: “Oh this is wonderful!!”

Dan also shared the snap captioning it: “Can’t believe it… turn up at Wentworth and guess who is in the group in front?? Yep… @piersmorgan.”

Although the two continue their public rivalry there appears to be a friendship underneath.

Dan recently spoke out about Piers’s GMB exit saying: “He likes to throw a few insults around, but underneath all the froth I think there is a decent bloke fighting to get out.”
